Mothers’ Day in Scoil Choilm

Mother’s Day was marked in many ways in most of the 30,000 homes in Dublin 15, but for mothers whose children attend Dublin 15’s newest school - Scoil Choilm – Mother’s Day took the form of a very special celebration this year. All mothers were invited to the school where they were entertained by the young pupils with music and poetry.

Then each of the schools five junior infants’ classes paraded into the hall where each child presented their mother with a specially prepared card, a hand-made book and a small parcel of sweets.

Principal Treasa Lowe, thanked all of the parents for coming. “You do a wonderful job raising your children and getting them to school each day so well prepared. Today is an opportunity for your children to tell you why you are such a special mum to them,” she said.
