Castleknock & Crossmaglen U12s show Dublin and Armagh how to do it

Castleknock under 12s visited Armagh and one of the most famous ground in the country last weekend when they made the trip to St.Oliver Plunkett Park in Crossmaglen, on a day when Dublin were due to play the Orchard County in the National League. It was an early start for the boys from Castleknock as they hit the road at 9am to take on the famous Crossmaglen Rangers boys.Footballing Friends – Some of the Castleknock and Crossmaglen under 12 teams who played last weekend

The first half of the day went well but unfortunately the second installment was disappointing as the Dubs game was cancelled forty-five minutes before throw-in with the ground filling up and the Castleknock under 12s in great voice behind the goal.

Two great games of football took place that morning between two teams who deserve great credit for showing some outstanding skill in conditions that were too difficult ultimately for inter-county players! Crossmaglen took the honours in both games but the result was a side issue as a spirit of fair play and friendship prevailed. The Crossmaglen club proved welcoming hosts and looked after the Castleknock group very well.

The Under 12 boys who traveled were: Colum Breslin, Shane Coffey, Daragh Conway, Sean Cummins, Sean Dunning, Alex Hannigan, Kane Hogan, Fergus Kavanagh, Brendan Kearney, Cian Kelly, Michael McKiernan, Daire Murphy, Luke Nulty, Cathal Sheerin, Kevin Stephenson, Jordan Toland, Luke Whelan, Abdullah Abassi, Killian Byrne, Adam Coffey, Leonardo Collazzo, Robert Conroy, Conor Gormally, Donal Heveran, Jamie Hudson, Michael McCloskey, Darragh McGann, Colum McGovern, Richard McInerney, Glen Murphy, Liam O'Connor, Aidan O'Gara, Charles Zivaljevic...and supporters Aoife Whelan, Conor Cummins, Rhys Hogan, and Caitlin Coffey.

The mentors were Ollie Coffey, Declan Hannigan, Brian Hogan, Damian Whelan and Joe Cummins.
