Human
Resource award for Mulhuddart company
A
Mulhuddart based company has won the prestigious FÁS Excellence
Through People award. The award was presented by Billy Kelleher, TD,
Minister for Labour Affairs at a special ceremony recently.
Barclay Chemical Manufacturing Ltd. which is based at Damastown Way
is an independent Irish owned company and has been one of Western Europe’s
leading suppliers of post-patent agrochemicals for over 20 years.
Excellence Through People is regarded as Ireland’s national human
resource management standard which provides a framework for best practice
human resource management in Irish based companies and work places.
According to a FÁS spokesperson, “Its main objectives are
to act as a business improvement tool, as well as a driver for innovation
and change. It also seeks to promote employee learning, development
and involvement in line with the organisation’s goals.”
“Barclay believe that its customers are paramount and to that
end we are constantly striving to improve service, deliver better products
and build stronger relationships. Barclay is meeting these challenges
by investing in top quality and highly motivated people who are dedicated
to quality, innovation and value,” said a spokesperson.
Paying tribute to their efforts during a presentation ceremony, Minister
Kelleher said “Excellence Through People is unique in that it
is the only standard dedicated to the role of people. I am pleased to
see so many organisations here today who have shown the commitment to
best people practice. It is a promising sign for the economy.”
