Castleknock Féile Footballers lose out in the Dublin Final

The Castleknock Under 14 Boys’ Féile football team lost the Dublin Final recently in double extra-time to Ballinteer St. John’s. The players and mentors did the club proud in a thrilling final where the Castleknock supporters were out in force to win the vocal support battle for the team.

The teams could not be separated at the end of normal time, nor at the end of extra-time. It was then down to a second bout of extra-time where the "Golden Score" counts - the first team to score is the winner.

Unfortunately for the Dublin 15 side that score went to the Southsiders and the great progress made in the Féile competition was not to be rewarded with ultimate victory.
