Dublin
15’s best seller
One
of the most popular publications among young people in Dublin 15 every
summer is a booklet published by Blanchardstown Youth Service (BYS)
with the very simple title of “Summer Activities”.
It truly is a case of being exactly ‘what it says on the tin’
as this little book offers a great resource for young people, clubs
and families who want to access some of the services and activities
available throughout the summer in Dublin and surrounding counties.

As well as listing a wide range of activities and places to visit throughout
the summer months, the booklet also provides comprehensive contact information,
prices and details for these activities.
According to Caitriona Freir of BYS, “the booklet also provides
details of the Blanchardstown Youth Service summer courses and summer
programmes that are taking place in the Dublin 15 area. These courses
are open to young people from 12 – 18 years of age who live in
area.”
Registration forms for the various courses are available from BYS, local
community centres and schools.
The “Summer Activities” booklet also includes details of
volunteering opportunities that are available in the Dublin area as
well as tips and links for those who want to work in Europe. Information
on the maintenance grant for students who are attending further and
higher level education courses in September is also included.
The booklet is now available and is free of charge.
To order a copy, contact Caitriona or Shane at BYS (tel. 8212077 / e-mail:
