Summer heritage programme

Although it has only been in operation since last year, the Dublin 15 based Southwest Fingal Heritage Society continues to go from strength to strength with an extensive calendar of events planned for the summer months.

An outing to Áras an Úachtaráin on Saturday 12th June will be followed two weeks later on the 26th with a talk in Blanchardstown Library on the subject of Genealogy. Julys’ outing on Saturday 10th will be to the Shackleton Gardens and St. Mary’s Church in Clonsilla while the talk on the 24th will cover the topic of “The big house in Ireland.”

An outing on 12th August will visit Skerries Mill and a talk entitled “People and places” will take place on August 25th to mark Heritage Week.

The society meets every Saturday at 2 p.m. in Blanchardstown Library and new members are always welcome.
