Five different views of Fingal: Every year Amharc Fhine Gall – the Fingal view – uses different media to exhibit all that is best of the county in a cultural perspective. This year marks the fifth year of the programme and the council has decided to highlight the works of five young artists living and working in the county.
Twist and shout: When it comes to musicals do you ever feel you want more? Do you consider yourself one of the family? Have you ever wondered who will buy your sweet red roses and then ended up reviewing the situation?
World Book Day: To celebrate World Book Day 2008 on Thursday 6th March, booksellers throughout Ireland and National Book Tokens are again donating more than 3.5 million special WBD tokens to pupils in primary schools all over the country.
Size is important: For South Dublin artist Orla Whelan, being offered the large studio space at Draiocht for a six month residency has given her the ability to expand – literally!
Seachtain na Gaeilge: Seachtain Na Gaeilge or “Irish Language Week” has become a regular feature of the Blanchardstown Library calendar, with a host of exciting events designed to encourage the use of spoken Irish.
