Exhibition by Hartstown students: As part of the pilot Artist in Residence scheme run by Fingal Arts Office, acclaimed artist Alan Mongey has been working with first year students at Hartstown Community school and introducing them to a variety of creative techniques. The end product of this innovative collaboration will be seen next Monday when the students’ work will be exhibited at Blanchardstown Library.
A fitting end: Stagezone’s traditional end of year concert – well, four concerts - marks another highly successful year for the group, a year which saw them bringing the very challenging musical “Oliver” to Draíocht to great acclaim.
A welcome in the kitchen: The much-loved Coolmine Drama Circle bring Frank McGuinness’s “Dolly West’s Kitchen” to Draíocht for five nights this month. The play, which premiered in the Abbey Theatre in 1999, is a celebration of a close knit Irish family.
Ecology, Mythology, Technology: Dublin 15 residents will have the perfect opportunity to view the best of Irish craftwork for the next six weeks as the much-lauded “Ecology, Mythology, Technology” exhibition comes to Farmleigh Gallery. The work that forms the exhibition was produced by twenty-four designers and makers from disciplines ranging from furniture and product design to textile art and wood-turning.
