debut this month when Gavin Kostick’s award winning Fight Night
opens the new season.

by a certain Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart when he was a precocious twelve year
old, Bastien and Bastienne was one of the composer’s earliest operas.

The
art of the fire writer : A somewhat unique art exhibition –
possibly the first held in Dublin - comes to Blanchardstown Library during
the second half of the month when the venue hosts an exhibition of pyrography.

and wished you could have been a part of the production rather than a

fashion and older people :
In March 2010, photographer Garvan Gallagher began a fifteen month residency
at Draíocht in which he planned to explore the theme of the representation
of the elderly in visual culture, or lack thereof, a topic which traces
the reasons why we, as a society, are so obsessed with youth and battling
the signs of ageing.

Duo
Chagall play Farmleigh : Anybody who attended last year’s
music festival in Porterstown in May 2010 could not fail to have been
enchanted by the mellifluous tones of the violin and cello ensemble Duo
Chagall.

Double
features at Film Club : To celebrate its first
anniversary, Draíocht Film Club has decided to put on an extra
film as a matinee every month, which means film buffs now have a choice
of afternoon or evening performances, or indeed, both.
