Seconds out : One of theatre’s most demanding plays makes its Draíocht debut this month when Gavin Kostick’s award winning Fight Night opens the new season.

The young Mozart : Written by a certain Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart when he was a precocious twelve year old, Bastien and Bastienne was one of the composer’s earliest operas.

The art of the fire writer : A somewhat unique art exhibition – possibly the first held in Dublin - comes to Blanchardstown Library during the second half of the month when the venue hosts an exhibition of pyrography.

Looking for Sweet Charity : Psst! Have you ever been to a musical and wished you could have been a part of the production rather than a member of the audience? Would you like to learn new skills and maybe see in what direction your talents lie?

Of fashion and older people : In March 2010, photographer Garvan Gallagher began a fifteen month residency at Draíocht in which he planned to explore the theme of the representation of the elderly in visual culture, or lack thereof, a topic which traces the reasons why we, as a society, are so obsessed with youth and battling the signs of ageing.

Duo Chagall play Farmleigh : Anybody who attended last year’s music festival in Porterstown in May 2010 could not fail to have been enchanted by the mellifluous tones of the violin and cello ensemble Duo Chagall.

Double features at Film Club : To celebrate its first anniversary, Draíocht Film Club has decided to put on an extra film as a matinee every month, which means film buffs now have a choice of afternoon or evening performances, or indeed, both.
And Briefly..... : A roundup of Arts events in Dublin 15 and beyond.
