for local groups :
20 local community groups and schools in the Dublin 15 area have been
approved for grant aid under the RAPID Additionality Dormant Accounts
Fund administered by the Department of Community Rural & Gaeltacht
Affairs. In total local groups received €199,639 from the fund in
this year’s allocation.

Castleknock
school receives award: 4th and 5th class pupils of Castleknock
N.S. were honoured for their humanitarian project “Powerful Poverty”
at a special awards ceremony in Farmleigh House recently.

TEAM effort: For over 32 years, the TEAM Educational Company
has been travelling around primary and post-primary schools in Ireland
delivering high-quality educational performances through the medium of
drama.

Light
maintenance scheme: One of the services that are provided by Blanchardstown
Centre for Independant Living for disabled people living in the community
is a “light maintenance scheme” which is funded by FÁS.
Under the programme, staff will call out as prearranged and carry out light
housework, basic maintenance and gardening, all free of charge.

Day in Scoil Choilm: Mother’s Day was marked in many ways
in most of the 30,000 homes in Dublin 15, but for mothers whose children
attend Dublin 15’s newest school - Scoil Choilm – Mother’s
Day took the form of a very special celebration this year.
