Cycling for the Hospice: It may be a long, long way from Clare to here but it is even further to West Cork, as twenty weary but happy cyclists discovered recently. Art exhibition at Council offices: It often takes an exhibition like the one currently on display at Fingal County Council Civic Offices in Blanchardstown to remind us of the salient fact that artists are a strong and vibrant part of our community and just because we don’t see them sitting at an easel on the Snugborough Road, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
Fire Brigade visits school: The young pupils of Scoil Choilm Community National School recently welcomed very special visitors to their temporary school premises at the Institute of Horology beside Connolly Hospital.
Castleknock choir seeks new conductor: The choir, which also performs on special occasions including the Easter and Christmas church ceremonies, will shortly be losing the services of conductor Dermot Brophy who is retiring this summer. A replacement conductor is now being sought to take up the position from next September.
Coeliac meeting: The final meeting of the Dublin 15 Coeliac Support group before the summer will take place on Tuesday 3rd June in the lounge of The Bell public house in Blanchardstown village at 8 p.m.
