D15 “youth ambassadors” attend US summit: Using technology to come to grips with serious social issues was the challenge that sent three Blanchardstown youths to Boston, Massachusetts recently.

The Corduff coin: The old Yorkshire saying of muck and brass existing in the same space / time continuum was amply demonstrated recently at the unlikely venue of Corduff FC’s football pitch.

Huntstown’s got talent! : Summer – such as it is in this country – is of course the time of school holidays and up and down the country, summer projects were launched to help the children to occupy their time profitably and enjoyably.

Fun and games at Stonebridge : The lack of a residents association in Stonebridge, Hartstown did not deter four enterprising ladies recently when they decided to hold a street party for the community.

Dublin 15’s active women : Last year’s Active Women project run by the HSE in Draíocht proved a big success with local women who participated in the 10 week project increasing their physical activity levels by an average of 77% while fitness levels were increased by an impressive 13%.
Designer diamond raffle : The D15 Charity is holding a raffle on this month with a genuine, ‘dyed in the wool’ 1.5 carat diamond as the first prize. In addition the lucky winner will be invited to participate in the design process to determine how exactly they want the diamond mounted in a ring or a pendant.

Carers of the year :A recent report on family care in Ireland finds that Dublin‘s 42,243 Carers feel over-burdened and un-recognised. The report titled ‘Listening to Carers’ was launched by Minister for Social and Family Affairs, Mary Hanafin TD, and highlights the importance of proper recognition and support of the work carried out by family carers.
