Cllr. Mags Murray defects to Fianna Fáil: In a not entirely unexpected move, local county councillor Mags Murray has quit the Progressive Democrats and joined the Fianna Fáil party.


New school now enrolling for September : Scoil Choilm, Dublin 15’s newest primary school may only be a few months old, but already it has developed a very clear vision of what it aims to achieve.


10 years for drugs and gun possession : A Bosnian man living in Castleknock has been jailed for 10 years by the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on drugs and gun charges.



Council accuses private refuse company of cherry-picking : “We are in business to stay in business.” So said Fingal’s Director of Environmental Services, PJ Howell, when he threw down the gauntlet to Greenstar and other companies who are trying to move into the Fingal refuse collection business.

Woman to appear in court following cocaine seizure : A 21 year old woman, arrested as part of a garda drugs raid in Mulhuddart, is due to appear in the Dublin District Court on February 12th to face charges in connection with drugs seized during the raid.



Accused man fails to appear : One of the two men charged in relation to the death of 15 year old Rebekah Kiely outside Russell Park on the old Navan Road has again failed to appear in court to face the charges.


Business as usual: Despite all the gloom and doom written in the past twelve months about the property market, the simple fact of the matter is that for most people buying or selling a house things are pretty much the same.
