New bridge may not open for four years: The new bridge and entrance road into Connolly Hospital built at a cost of €6m will be completed at the end of this month. However Community Voice has learned that the new bridge which will allow direct access into the hospital from the N3 is unlikely to be opened for up to four years!.
Council officials “gagged” by management : Fingal County Council management was accused of gagging officials of its parks department at a recent meeting of the Council’s local area committee..
Massive extension for Town Centre : Green Property, owner of the Blanchardstown Centre, has now formally confirmed its intention to carry out a major extension to the centre with an application to Fingal County Council for planning permission for the project.
Castleknock student wins all-Ireland award : 18 year old Colm Mooney from Castleknock was one of two Irish teenagers named All Ireland Youth Volunteers of the Year at a ceremony in the Hilton Hotel in Belfast.
Pay & Display for Connolly Hospital to go ahead : Connolly Hospitals' plans to introduce paid car parking in the hospital in an attempt to meet some of its budget shortfall for the current year are now well advanced.

    “Castleknock commuters will be left stranded” says councillor: Cllr. Eithne Loftus (FG) has now called on Dublin Bus to re-consider its plans to move the terminus of the No. 37 service as she feels it will leave Castleknock commuters stranded as buses will now be full by the time they reach Carpenterstown and Castleknock.
