Connolly Hospital scanner refused by HSE: Dublin 15 patients may be forced to wait for at least three years for vital diagnostic equipment including an MRI scanner because of a decision by the HSE to wait until after the proposed new private hospital has been built and opened on the grounds of Connolly Hospital.
Ongar community service to be closed : In late 2006 Blanchardstown Area Partnership (BAP) was granted funding of €146,312 by the Department of Justice Equality and Law Reform to operate an outreach office in Ongar. BAP have now announced that the office will be closed and the service withdrawn with effect from the end of this month.
Fingal claims its waste charges are the cheapest : This week will see the issuing of the first notices to households in Fingal for the payment of a fixed charge for waste services.
Friendly call service expands : “Good Morning, this is your friendly call service. How are you this morning?”
Why we should rezone Kellystown : "Kellystown is a good deal, not just to resolve an urgent schools crisis, but also for the additional playing fields and a real green belt between Dublin 15 and the Liffey Valley." says Kieran O’Neill, Chairperson of the Castleknock Schools (lobby) Group and a former Chairperson of the Dublin 15 Community Council.
Department agrees to pay debt due to County Council : A spokesperson for Fingal County Council told Community Voice that the matter of all outstanding monies was now resolved and the agreement between the two parties marked a clear endorsement of the “Fingal Schools Model” of school site procurement “going forward.”.

New schools update: The question of school sites in the Dublin 15 area was discussed at the June meeting of Fingal County Council when Cllr. Ruth Coppinger tabled a motion seeking a report on the various sites for new schools in the county.

Home at last!:After four years of ‘wandering in the wilderness’, Castaheany Educate Together National School and its 320 pupils took to the highway and made an ‘exodus’ on foot from their previous temporary accommodation in the prefabs of Mary Mother of Hope School in Littlepace to their new home in Ongar .
