Educate Together targets second Kellystown school: The refusal of the Minister for Education, Batt O’Keeffe TD to facilitate the establishment of the proposed Carpenterstown Educate Together school has been criticised by local Labour Party TD, Joan Burton.

Strawberry beds home flooded for third time in a month : Engineers tell us that Irish planning is based on the possibility of a disaster taking place once every fifty years and this figure was certainly called into question with last month’s rainfalls which resulted in severe flooding in many parts of Fingal.
Innovative health project launched in Mount Sackville : Mount Sackville secondary school has recently launched an innovative project aimed at providing a support service to help reduce the number of people who die from cardiac arrest in our community.
Over 70% have paid bin charges to date: Less than 3% of Fingal households have switched to private waste collection companies according to figures released by Fingal County Council in answer to a question posed by local Sinn Féin councillor, Paul Donnelly.

Clonsilla Road one way system to be removed : One piece of traffic management that has long been a source of puzzlement to local residents was the decision by Fingal County Council some years ago to make a section of Clonsilla Road at Coolmine into a one way system.

Public meetings on management company issues : The issue of management companies and their operations has been a long-festering sore for many residents of newer estates and apartment complexes in Dublin 15. Many local residents have been bitterly opposed to these companies and have been refusing to pay fees and charges in many instances.

Jailed for breaking curfew: A resident of Waterville has ended up in jail after a late night shopping trip for a bottle of coke and credit for his mobile phone.
 

Castleknock Village proposals: Proposals to develop Castleknock village came under debate by local councillors at their first area committee meeting after the summer break and raised a wide variety of comment and opinions of the future of this little village which is a far cry from Kickham’s rural idyll.
