Plunketts’ historic win: Friday 25th January was something of a day for records. St. Oliver Plunketts won the Dublin Senior Division 1 league for the first time. They also merited a place in the record books based on the fact that it was only last year that they won Division 2.

Erin Go Bragh youth on display at Parnell Park: Last weekend saw not just the return of the Dublin team to National League action at Parnell Park when Westmeath provided the opposition but also afforded one of the local Dublin 15 clubs to display the skills of its young talent.

Corduff advance in FAI Junior Cup : It was the Dublin 15 side that won the early skirmishes, soaking up St. Peter’s pressure and breaking quickly on the counter attack with left midfielder Kevin Murphy noticeably offering a lot of pace and width.

Coolmine give students a rugby lesson: The game in the Metro Cup was played on the last Sunday in January. Coolmine dismissed the challenge of visitors Dublin University with this 22-10 win at Ashbrook.
