 Corduff FC pitch destruction : The parks department have cancelled the use of the Corduff FC pitch due to the damage from bikes and this has affected no less than six of our underage teams who were all due to play home this weekend. To put that in context, the actions of six individuals have affected the match day of 125 underage children.

 
Multiple Paralympic medallist Malone to concentrate on coaching: Four-time Paralympic Swimmer and head coach at the National Aquatic Centre (NAC) Swim Club, David Malone, recently announced his retirement from the sport.
Érin go Brágh girls reach county semi-final after shoot-out: On Saturday 20th September the U12's Camogie team of Naomh Mearnóg returned to Hunter’s Run Park looking for revenge after being narrowly beaten by Érin Go Brágh in the corresponding league fixture on 3rd September.

Castleknock minor footballers too strong for Crokes: On a lovely morning for football at Porterstown, both teams ripped into the action from the start. Scores were exchanged at a fierce pace and after fifteen minutes Castleknock led by the narrowest of margins, 1-4 to 1-3.

Castleknock girls edged out by Lucan : In one of this double header of matches, which was played on pitch 1, Castleknock had prepared well for the encounter against a strong Lucan side.
Irish homeless soccer players take fifth place in Europe : Fifth place and the Player Of The Tournament trophies were won recently by the Republic of Ireland Team in the European Homeless Indoor Football Championship at the tournament which was held in Poland. The competition which ran over a weekend was organised by Saint Brother Albert's Aid Society and sponsored by the City of Gdansk.
