for Leon was published in trade paperback at the beginning of the year,
she little realised how successful the book was destined to become.

down to the Rhythm of Life : Coolmine Musical Society’s
30th anniversary production is Sweet Charity, which premiered on Broadway
in 1966 and is loosely based on Federico Fellini’s screenplay for
Nights of Cabiria.

| Thirty
years of CMS :
When Coolmine Community School opened its doors for night classes in 1978,
one of the courses on offer was a singing class. This led to the formation
of Coolmine Choral Singers.

classes at Draíocht : As a centre for the arts,
Draíocht has of course been pre-eminent over the past ten years
in bringing top-class entertainment to Dublin 15, hitherto something of
an artistic backwater. Whether it is drama, comedy or dance, folk music,

3.0 : In 2005, Fingal County Council established
‘Finscéal: A Writer’s Trail of Fingal’ a literary
initiative for readers and writers in Fingal. Each year a specialised
programme of events and workshops was created each year as a direct result
of feedback received from the readers’ and writers’ groups
in Fingal.
