 Dublin Diving Club Divers meet world champion : Irish Divers from the Dublin Diving Club recently competed at the prestigious Armada cup in Plymouth, England, alongside Tom Daley who represented Great Britain at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

 

Coolmine judo club in the medals in Kilkenny : Judo certainly qualifies as a minority sport in this country but like so many of these sports which are lower profile than most it has its remarkably dedicated adherents. None more so than locally in Dublin 15 at Coolmine Judo Club.

Young Peregrines flying high : The under-13 girls at St Peregrine’s GAA club have enjoyed a remarkable period of success in recent times capturing titles in both ladies football and camogie.

Setanta sprints to glory : The West Leinster Schools' Cross-Country Championships were held recently in the Phoenix Park and was the first year for new school on the block Coláiste Pobail Setanta in Ongar - to enter a team.


St Brendan’s Hockey Club reliving its history : St. Brendan's Phoenix Park Hockey Club began life back in 1929 as the Grangegorman Hockey Club. As the club is now 80 years old this anniversary will be marked by a ball to be held in Dunboyne Castle in May.
