 Castleknock Ladies Golf Club – above Par : One of the quiet sporting successes in the locality in recent times has been the achievements of Castleknock’s ladies’ golfers.

 

Brigid’s youths edged out by Parnells : Parnells proved too strong for St Brigid’s in the U16 Football B Championship Plate Final played recently at Coolock. The home side – a division ahead of the Brigid’s lads – put in a storming opening half to take a decisive lead which simply left Brigid’s with too much to do in an evenly contested second-half.


Brigid’s ladies promoted : Congratulations to St Brigid’s Senior camogie team recently crowned League Champions after another impressive display against Lucan in Russell Park which was their eight win from eight games.

Castleknock schoolgirls win Cumann na mBunscol title : St.Brigid’s National School maintained their winning tradition in the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol competitions by capturing the Corn Uí Phuirséil at Croke Park recently. The girls beat their near neighbours from the Navan Road on a scoreline of 3-3 to 0-2.


GAA president opens new Érin go Brágh clubhouse : It was a very big day recently in the short history of the Érin go Brágh GAA club when it welcomed the President of the GAA Christy Cooney to the locality to open the club’s clubhouse facilities.


Magic McFaul unable to save Érin go Brágh : Even a wonderful display of scoring from full forward Darren McFaul, who notched a remarkable total of 2-4, was not enough to prevent a heartbreaking defeat for the Érin go Brágh Junior footballers last Sunday morning in Hazelbury Park.


Castleknock under-11s triumphant : The Castleknock GAA under-11 Boys won their first ever hurling cup final with a fine win over Scoil Ui Chonaill in Russell Park, recently.

Castleknock summer camps : Castleknock Hurling & Football Club have announced the dates of their Summer Camps for 2010. The dates are: July 12th to 16th and August 16th to 20th.

Eoin Kennedy in the finals shake-up again :St Brigid’s clubman Eoin Kennedy has qualified again for the All-Ireland Hardball semi-finals to be played this weekend. Eoin will face Seamus O'Carroll in the semi-finals on Saturday.
